Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Managing DVM

Dr. Kimberley Teerhuis

From a young age, Kimberley aspired to become a veterinarian, driven by a deep love for animals of all shapes and sizes.  Her journey began at the University of Winnipeg, obtaining a Bachelor of Sciences degree with a double major in biology and biochemistry.  Immediately after she moved to Saskatoon, SK where she attended the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, obtaining a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2010, she completed a small animal rotating externship in Manhattan, New York City where she was able to meet some celebrity pets and found her passion for emergency and critical care.  Upon graduation, she decided to return to her home city of Winnipeg to start her career.  She has spent many years working in emergency medicine but has worked in general wellness and preventative practice as well.  Her areas of interest include dermatology, surgery, and emergency and critical care medicine.

When she’s not at work, she can be found chasing or driving her two sons around to their various sports and activities.  She typically lives at the hockey rink in the winter and enjoys summer lake activities in the summer.
